Computing a Frequency Distribution in Excel

To compute a frequency distribution in Excel, use the FREQUENCY function.  Note that this function returns an array.

For some reason, you cannot just click “OK” to exit the Insert Function dialog box.  You must do so by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER at the same time.
