The PDF file below presents an example of a stand-alone literature review I created for my undergraduate research methods course. It is a good exercise to compare this sample paper to the rubric to see what improvements can easily be made.
It is worthy of note that this APA-style sample paper is designed to be part of a larger research proposal project where the hypothesis must be experimentally testable. I require my students to propose an “X causes Y” hypothesis. This APA example paper meets that requirement.
