Among other things, I’m a bona fide “Foodie.”  I love to cook (and eat) and am fascinated by the most esoteric things.  This section is obviously not the primary reason this site exists, but I’ve decided to share my thoughts, opinions, and a smattering of recipes as the mood strikes.   I’m also very interested in the nearly lost art of “putting food by,” which means traditional methods of food preparation and preservation.
