Course: Introduction / Policing
Battle Dress Uniforms (BDUs) are military-style uniforms also known as fatigues.
The use of BDUs by police is somewhat controversial because some people view them as intimidating. Police managers like these types of uniforms because they are far cheaper than “class A” uniforms with polished leather and brass. Line officers tend to like them because they are both rugged and comfortable.
